5 Travel Must-Haves from Karissa Littlejohn!

Last month, we had an amazing interview with Karissa Littlejohn, who is the founder of the Nurses Travel Network! We chatted all about travel, community, and how nurses can take better care of themselves and their happiness. She dropped tons of wisdom in our conversation and we don't want you to miss it! If you didn't get a chance to watch the IG Live, you can check it out HERE!

We also asked Karissa, a travel pro, to share her top 5 travel must-haves with us. She's sharing the things she never travels without below!

5 Things You Should Never Travel Without

1. Priority Pass

Getting a priority pass gives you lounge access, which is amazing for layovers or when you arrive at the airport early. You'll have space to relax and grab a drink or snack!

2. Metal Water Bottle

Use this to refill your water, so you can stay hydrated on the plane without constantly asking the flight attendant for another mini cup of water. Many airports have filtered water stations where you can fill up. You can also ask the flight attendant to fill it up for you.

3. Blanket

Always bring your own blanket! The cleansing standards on airplanes are not always up to par, and you never want to be caught feeling cold on a long flight!

4. Compression Socks

No one wants to arrive at their destination with swollen ankles and aching feet! Invest in a few pairs of compression socks if you don't already own a few pairs for work. If you plan to take off your shoes on the flight, you will not want to reuse them after they have been on the ground, so make sure to bring a few pairs!

5. Body Cleansing Wipes

For long-haul trips you will definitely want to freshen up. If you do not have access to a lounge with a shower, a quick wipe down will help you feel refreshed and clean!

We absolutely love featuring amazing humans in the nursing space and Karissa is no exception! As the owner of the Nurses Travel Network she provides community and luxury travel experiences for nurses all over the world. You can check out her website here for the latest updates on upcoming trips!
