What is a Lightworker?

What is a Lightworker?

We created the Lightworker Campaign because we want to encourage you to be PROUD of the work that you do.

We want to make nursing badass. We want to create a deep sense of community with the lightworkers that surround you.

You may be wondering what exactly IS a lightworker. We believe each and every nurse is a lightworker in their own unique way, but we all have a few things in common.

A lightworker is a nurse who is proud of the work they do.

A lightworker shines bright from deep within. A lightworker stands for MORE.

A lightworker knows that they spread light no matter how big or small of a task they do.

A lightworker believes in taking care of themselves in order to shine even brighter.

A lightworker knows their presence matters and that their light is needed.

We, as lightworkers, want to share our light with whoever we come into contact with - our coworkers, our patients, our supervisors, anyone! We believe that no one has the power to dim our light because a lightworker’s light is inextinguishable

We want to remind you that you, and only you, have the power to dim your light. No one around you has the power to do this. Even when things get hard we want you to have the reminder that YOU alone have the power to keep shining, no matter what is happening.

Each and every nurse can have a different definition of what being a lightworker means to them - and we’d love to hear yours! Share it with us on social and tag @nursesinspirenurses so we can continue to cheer you on in your journey.
